Hey everyone, Does anyone have an idea on my problem i have the above modem and im trying to install on vista home premium 64bit?? I belive i need a 64 bit driver for it and it says the driver is not compatible with this version of windows, but i have downloaded the latest version from sagem and a alpha test driver, that should work in xp64bit. I have a sagem modem(f@st 800) and i have it installed on my laptop so i can go the internet but i need to install it on my computer because my laptop doesnt work properly but i have lost the sagem modem installation cd what shall i do (i cant get on the internet without it on my computer) can anybody give me a site i can download it off plz. Windows device driver information for SAGEM_MyC5-2v GPRS Modem
The SAGEM_MyC5-2v is a mobile device which can provide modem functionality when connected to a host computer system provided that the proper device driver is installed. The connection normally is hosted over a vacant Universal Serial Bus interface port to allow for faster data exchange between the host controller (Personal Computer) and the supported hardware component. GSM modems basically have the functionality of working with GSM networks to deliver the same services provided by conventional modems. The SAGEM_MyC5-2v implements a type of GPRS modem functionality which is essentially a kind of GPS modem variant. The main difference is the built-in support for GPRS technology allowing the successful integration of data transmission techniques. The device driver implements the specifications of the General Packet Radio Service to take advantage of packet switching technologies which are defined by most telecommunications experts as extensions of the GSM standards.

Essentially since GSM standards are based on circuit switching technology the GPRS modem implementation provided by the SAGEM_MyC5-2v and its corresponding device driver allows for faster data transmission speeds.
